Products IMTEC Ortho Implants

Over the past three to four years, a number of Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s), primarily in the form of mini screws have hit the market. The Imtec System, designed for Imtec by Jason Cope DDS PhD incorporates simplicity of design and simple integration into the Orthodontic practice. With that in mind there is one head design and one diameter of implant with three different lengths, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm. These lengths are necessary to facilitate placement in different locations within the oral cavity based on gingival thickness and bony depth.

The O-Ball head makes the system universally adaptable; it serve as one component in a ball and socket joint. The other is the O-Cap, a stainless steel cap with an internal O-Ring that locks in place around the O-Ball. There is a groove in the O-Cap so that ligatures, elastics, or power chain can be attached directly to it. The O-Cap can also be soldered to, thereby allowing different attachments to be fabricated.

The O-Ball head incorporates 0.030” transverse holes for easy attachment. The Cope Placement Protocol needs no pilot hole; the implant is self drilling and self tapping. Once the implant is in place it can be loaded immediately. The Imtec Ortho Implant system is simple to understand, simple to stock and most important, simple to use.
